Parish Holiday 2003

The Parish holiday was really fun!  When Mum, Jack and me got to the hotel we got dressed up for dinner (we don’t usually!).  After a lovely meal (I had two lots of sorbet) we went downstairs where the adults and Jack did a quiz.  I made a picture with Crispin.  We didn’t go to bed till late that night as we played cards with Janet and Elizabeth.  Jack wanted to play for money but Mum and Janet thought perhaps we shouldn’t.

Saturday was quite a nice day but windy.  The boat couldn’t take us for a trip to the lighthouse so we went on the sightseeing bus instead.  It didn’t have a roof!  It was great fun.  Jack and I didn’t see any of the sights though as we were too busy pulling the leaves off the trees as we went past them.  We did this trip two times.

Sunday was a gorgeous day.  Guess what we did?  Yeah, the bus trip 2 more times.  Jack got more leaves than me though.  We left the York hotel after Sunday lunch having had a wonderful weekend.  I can’t wait till next year.  I wonder if the boat will be as much fun as the bus?

Thank you Michael and Pam for organising the weekend and thank you Jamie and Pedro, who looked after us very well!  Hope to see you next year.
