All Saints and St Philip’s Mothers’ Union

Well stuffed and content

That is how some Mothers' Union members and their friends are beginning to feel after our last two meetings. On December 14th we met in All Saints for our usual Christmas meeting with readings of a seasonal nature and a substantial tea, provided by members. We had a most enjoyable time immediately after the Business Community Carol Service, so the church had a welcoming aroma of mulled wine.

On December 21st we all met again at the Grangemoor Hotel for Christmas Lunch.  A varied menu was enjoyed and there was plenty of wine or soft drinks. Crackers were pulled and silly jokes shared, which all added to the fun. I seem to think that some of our male guests had a good lunch, since as the saying goes about the way to a man's heart being through his stomach and there were several Christmas hugs at the end without the need for mistletoe.

Gentleman, please take note our next lunch party will be on Tuesday July 12th.

In January we meet in All Saints Church on Tuesday 11th at 2.30pm. We will be holding our Wave of Prayer, followed by a discussion on resolutions. During this meeting we will begin to plan our next year’s project.
