All’s right with the world
The current restoration at All Saints is enormous and expensive. But every little helps, and so it was that a small, but perfectly formed band bought tickets for a Summer Lunch at the home of Mary and Brian Shaw.
Together we shared an afternoon of tranquil enjoyment, and many contributions need to be honoured. Thanks first to Mary and Brian, both for hosting the occasion and for their part in the excellent catering arrangements. Our appreciation too for all the unseen work which the well-loved garden gave away. Thanks to all who brought delicious food items, gave raffle prizes and organized the raffle. And of course, thanks to All Saints’ elder statesman for his eloquent vote of thanks!
Above all, thanks to God in his heaven not just for the glorious sunshine, but for the chance to share these gentle pleasures in support of a good cause. In restoring, we found ourselves well and truly restored!
