The
Friends of St. Philips Community Centre September
Newsletter Thank
you to all who donated prizes for the tombola and a
special thank you to those who helped on the day. We
raised just under £300. Our
next event takes place on Saturday 25th
September which is production of Joseph. Rehearsals have
been taking place for several months now and this should
prove to be an excellent evening. There is no entrance
fee but a retiring collection will be held. On
the 9th October, harvest weekend at St Philips
there is to be an open day to which Centre users are
being invited. Trevor Peacock has kindly agreed to come
along and spend some time with us. There will be various
things going on in the afternoon with a chance to sit and
have a drink and chat with Trevor. I
hope you will be able to come and support one or both of
the above events. We
have now replaced the easy chairs in the coffee lounge.
These arrived in early August and were paid for by
donations primarily from Coffee and Chat and Brachers'
Millennium Charitable Trust. We hope to eventually
replace all the chairs at the Centre with something more
comfortable. Gwen
