Maidstone Deanery Quiz – 9th September
As winners of the first Maidstone Deanery Quiz & holders of the Deanery Cup, it fell to the parish to hold this year’s event. So six teams gathered at 7.30pm at St Philips Centre to answer a mixture of questions from host Chris “my answer is correct” Payne. Our parish entered 2 teams under captains Fowler & Lever and both led proceedings at one stage or another, but at the crucial point, the end, both had been eclipsed by the team from St Nicholas of Allington. Sue Payne laid on a marvellous supper and was helped by daughters Emily & Natalie. The evening raised £240 for Church, Centre & friends of St Philip funds. Thanks to everyone who took part.
