ALL SAINTS MAIDSTONE
|ALL SAINTS MAIDSTONE
was built in 1395 as a Collegiate Church by Archbishop William Courtenay. Twenty four clergy sang morning and evening prayer each day and looked after the pastoral, educational and practical needs of the citizens of Maidstone. In 1549 the college was dissolved and the church became the Parish Church of Maidstone. Since then the Parish Priest and his colleagues have ministered to this parish.
Apart from Service Times the church is usually open for visitors from 10.00am until 4.00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and on Saturdays from 10.00am until 12.30pm from Easter until the end of September.
A Gift Stall is available.
To arrange to visit the church at other times, for guided tours and educational visits by schools and societies please telephone 01622 843298 or contact the Maidstone Tourist Office 01622 602169
