Thanks for Christmas

Many people helped make Christmas a good occasion in our parish. I would like to thank the many who helped: those assisting with arrangements with many carol services and concerts, church decorators and cleaners, those who delivered Christmas leaflets, those who went Carol singing around the parish, our own choirs and musicians. Several people at Carol and Christingle Services at both churches said how much they had appreciated the leaflets with times of services.

It takes much time and energy from many people to prepare for the Christmas services. Our choirs need to learn and rehearse the carols that they will sing at our own carol services, All Saints in particular needs to be prepared for the many carol concerts/services that take place (in particular the arrangeing of the staging to the requirements of a particular event). Thousands of leaflets detailing the times of services need to be printed for distribution during the parish carol singing. In particular I must thank the parents of the young choristers at both of our churches for their support in allowing their children to attend so many special services particularly the Midnight Eucharist.

The great number of events at All Saints meant that many thousands of people came to the church during the Christmas season to hear the Christmas Message. This makes all of the effort of many people so worthwhile  and thank you all very much.
