Letter from the family of Jess and Kay Obee

Dear All

We would like to say thank you to all who came to my father’s funeral and for all your good wishes.  It was so lovely to see the church so full.  I think, I know, my father would have been amazed.  I know he enjoyed the company and friendship of you all.  He often spoke of St Philip’s with great affection.  A big thank you to all who arranged the gathering after the service, what a lovely spread you put on.  It was a lovely friendly atmosphere, dad would have been proud.

As most of you know my mother has Alzheimer’s and is in Bower Croft Nursing Home.  The death of my father hasn’t registered with her and she thinks she is on a holiday and keeps asking where he is.  She seems quite happy in her ‘own world’.

Andrew, our eldest son and wife, Carol had a baby girl on 15th November.  All are well.  They have called her Kaitlyn Jess Louise.

Thank you all again.

Julie, Neville, Andrew and Simon Buchannan.
