Many Thanks

Christmas is very hard work for many in our parish with many extra services and groups to be assisted. Many thanks to all who helped in every way: decorating churches, providing refreshments, providing music, Churchwardens and Sidesmen as well as those who read and led prayers as well as our indispensable worshippers. It all made for a very good celebration of God’s coming to earth in Jesus.

As the Parish Church of the County Town of Kent All Saints was once again host to many organisations and schools who came to sing and listen to the Christmas story. The total number who came through the doors of All Saints during December can be counted in thousands. All Saints own major Christmas services – the Candlelight Service of Nine Lessons and Christmas Carols, the Christingle service, the Midnight Eucharist and the Family Eucharist on Christmas morning – saw an increase in the number of people attending. A very large majority of these worshippers were not of All Saints regular congregation thus underlining the role that All Saints plays in the Community of Maidstone.
