A letter from India

Many members of our congregations will remember Winston Dhanraj from India who sang in All Saints choir in 2002 and early 2003.  The Fowler family received a message from him in January - some excerpts.................

Dear John Rosemary Rachel Timothy,

Sorry for not replying and for keeping you in the dark...I've been busy getting married. It was on the 27th December 03...exactly between Christmas and New Year.

My wife Suganthy is an IT professional just like me, and works for a UK-based software company called NetDecisions.  We got married in very much the traditional Indian way...our parents got to know each other first and then arranged for us to know each other. This is what we call an arranged marriage in India. Things moved really fast and we had hardly a couple of months of acquaintance time.  A week after we got married, we went on our honeymoon to a couple of hill stations (Shimla & Kullu-Manali). These are beautiful places in the state of Himachal Pradesh, close to the Himalayan Mountains. We caught snow in Manali and managed to do some skiing.

Please convey my regards to Peter and the choir. Hope you all have a wonderful and prosperous year ahead.

Winston
