All Saints with St. Philip Mothers’ Union

The January meeting was very well attended and members enjoyed a lively discussion on suitable gifts for a baby of an asylum seeker in Kent today.

At the end of January several members will be attending the Allington Branch’s 65th Anniversary Celebration and on Saturday February 7th we will be in Canterbury Cathedral for the Diocesan Festival and Commissioning Service at 11.00am.

The February meeting is on Tuesday 10th at 2.30pm in All Saints Vestry. Betty Page, a Trustee of the MU, will tell us about MU activities in Kentand bring a selection of books, greetings cards and items from the MU Catalogue for sale or to order.

In March we have our usual afternoon meeting on March 9th at 2.30pm in All Saints. Later in the month, on March 23rd we have our first evening meeting when we hope that people, who are unable through work or family commitments to attend afternoon meetings, will be able to join us. The speaker will be Mrs Edna Tupper and she will be talking about ‘Operation Sunshine’ which is a Folkestone-based charity, supported by churches in Kent and France, which sends much needed clothing, food, tools, medical supplies etc to Africa and other needy countries. This meeting is open to anyone, male or female and will be held at St Philip’s at 7.30pm.
