Parish Carol Singing
Christmas 2004
Cheques
for £175.50 are being sent to Demelza House and
to WhizzKids as our parish contribution from the
carol singing at Christmas. Once again we
roamed the streets of the parish and had a really
good time as we sang carols, caught up on news
and enjoyed each others company over a cup
of hot soup or drinking chocolate.
This
has become a very important part of Christmas
life in our parish and a very good way to bring
the Christmas message to lots of busy people who
seemed to appreciate our efforts very much.
Once again the weather was excellent: although -
as ever - it was cold, it stayed dry and not too
windy so our words didnt seem to get lost!
This year we had trumpet accompaniment on one
night - we look forward to welcoming more brass/wind
players next year!
