March was another busy month for the branch. We heard a very interesting talk on the ‘Away from it all’ holidays run by the MU at our evening meeting on March14th. Then on Saturday March 25th several of us went to the special Lady Day MU Service in Harrietsham church. We then rushed from that to All Saints to spend the afternoon preparing the Mothering Sunday posies.
The Nightclub Chaplain will be the speaker at our April meeting at 2.30pm on Tuesday 11th April in All Saints. She is a very engaging speaker and everyone is very welcome to come and hear her.
On Tuesday May 9th at 7.30pm in All Saints we will be serving an African Supper. It will be a two course meal costing £6 each and Naomi Lumutenga, from Uganda but currently a member of Marden MU will be bringing some tasty treats and speaking about life in Uganda. Tickets are available each Sunday after the morning service and numbers are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. The meal is in aid of the MU Overseas Fund which supports the MU workers in Africa and funds the very successful Literacy Programme
