A letter from Elizabeth and Edie Bussmann…….
'Farewell, Adieu, Auf Wiedersehen, goodbye....!
Those of you who know the musical 'The Sound of Music' will recognise the introduction! Hopefully it is not 'Goodbye' but more 'Auf Wiedersehen' - or in plain English: 'Until we meet again!'
Edi and I would like to thank everyone who has supported and encouraged us in anyway during the past three years. In my first magazine article I wrote that I looked forward to being together with you on the next step of our faith journey. As with all journeys there have been highs and lows!
We would especially like to thank all of you who have wished us well in our next step with messages and other tokens of appreciation. It was lovely to see so many friends at my final service and all those who I have not been able to say farewell to personally, due to the holiday time, I do so now.
I would also particularly like to thank the congregation at St Philip's for the beautiful bouquet of flowers they sent to soften the moving-in day down in Bristol. It was truly appreciated, a lovely surprise, and one I shall long remember!
Samba also says farewell - the parting made easier by the lovely new garden, complete with squirrels, which she has now fully taken possession of.
