Vicar of Dibley

St. Philip’s Fund Raising Committee set of at 3.45pm for Shepperton Studios for the filming of ‘Vicar of Dibley’. So we settled into our seats bottles of water and chocolates supplied. Not a very large audience – screens and cameras everywhere. It is amazing how little space is needed for the whole show.

The cast came through and greeted us all then settled into filming. We laughed so much! It took from 7.30pm to 10.30pm to film the show which we all enjoyed so much. Our Patron Trevor invited us all to the social evening. The ten of us were the only ‘outsiders’ so to speak. All the cast made us so welcome. We ate, danced and talked. 1.00am came all too soon, we said our farewells and as we got back into the mini bus we couldn’t believe we had just had a wonderful; time with the writer, director and actors of the ‘Vicar of Dibley’. Come Christmas Day we are on TV! (well our laughter is!).

Thanks to Philip for being the driver and couldn’t have a drink and many big ‘Thank You’s’ to Trevor who so kindly invited us and looked after us making it a lovely memory, something each one of us will never forget.
