All Saints Summer Fete

The Fete this year is on Saturday July 24th, which is also River Festival Saturday. Since there are afternoon weddings in church, we are open from 10am to 1pm, with just a few stalls around the east end of the church, (out of the way of the brides), if the weather is fine.

Many people have offered to man stalls, but we need more help with setting up and taking down. We also need second-hand books, handicrafts, bric-a-brac and lots and lots of cakes. Since it is late in the growing season, the plant stall will consist of potted-up perennials. So please walk around your gardens and see which cuttings you can take and which plants you can split and pot up.

The empty jams jars now need to come back to church with something in them for the Tombola stall and there are plenty more Summer Draw tickets for you to sell. Please remember to return the stubs and money for the ones you have already sold.

The Fete is in aid of the Restoration Fund and by the end of this year we would like to see the South Choir Aisle filled with scaffolding, which will mean that the next section of roof above it is being restored. The cost of this is £120 000, so the Fete and Draw need to raise an awful lot of money.
